West Cambs GP Federation exists to support the delivery of Primary Care across Huntingdonshire and Fenland. Having implemented the findings of a Governance Review, we have restructured our Board and have also achieved a ‘Good’ rating in all areas of our recent CQC inspection (March 2020).

As a result, we are now starting work on our future ambitions; one of which is to provide support to our member practices’ Primary Care Networks (PCNs).

Primary Care Network Support Manager


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PCN Support Manager to join our small, but ambitious team. As we embark on supporting some of our member practice Primary Care Networks, this role will have the opportunity to shape this aspect of our business planning and development.

The PCN Support Manager will be employed by West Cambs GP Federation and will provide co-ordinated support to the Clinical Directors and Practice Managers of a number of PCNs across West Cambridgeshire. As part of their role, the PCN Support Manager will work with Huntingdon Central PCN to assist the members of the PCN in their collaborative work and provide a central source of management and development support. Huntingdon Central PCN comprises 4 separate Member GP Practices working together to provide excellent patient care, to a population of just under 45,000.

In addition, the PCN Support Manager will actively develop relationships with other PCNs across the WCF area, with a view to providing management and development support.

Working in partnership is key to the success of this role. The PCN Support Manager will work with and support the PCN Clinical Directors, PCN Member Practices and Member Practice Managers to build and develop successful PCNs.

This will involve planning, implementing, and embedding the objectives of the PCN leadership and the requirements of the Primary Care Networks DES.
